Exploring New Ideas and Techniques

In this course, you’ll unleash your creativity and take your art skills to the next level.

You’ll be introduced to new ideas, materials, and processes that will help you explore and experiment with different artistic styles and techniques.

Through hands-on projects and activities, you’ll learn to apply the fundamental elements and principles of design to bring your artistic vision to life. You’ll also develop your critical thinking skills by analyzing and interpreting art from different perspectives, including personal, contemporary, and historical contexts

In this unit, students will explore different forms of abstract art and learn about the historical development of these artistic movements and communities. They will learn about cubism and installation art, gaining a deeper understanding of the foundations and techniques used in these art forms. Further, they will learn about the importance of creating art responsibly and reflecting on its environmental impact.

This unit explores the connection between art and culture. Students will examine various art forms unique to different cultures and countries, studying the social impact and purpose behind their creation. Additionally, the unit will also explore the ethical considerations in art creation and presentation.

This final unit will lead students to delve into the world of modern art and post-impressionism. Specifically, they will explore watercolor techniques and landscape creation. In the end, students will research and explore the potential art-related careers beyond secondary school.
